The Challenge
A condominium association managing a residential building in Prague was looking for a reliable solution to remotely monitor electricity consumption in all 20 apartments and common areas. A key requirement was to ensure data privacy, allowing each resident to access only their own consumption data.
The Solution
The soloution is based on the product Perseus Energy 285 – a versatile monitoring device with LTE and LAN connectivity. The unit was installed in the building’s main electrical switchboard and connected to 23 M-Bus electricity meters – 20 for the individual apartments and 3 for shared areas.

Data Collection and Management
The Perseus Energy 285 collects data from all connected meters and sends it as variables to a portal built on SensDesk Technology. The operator can select which variables to upload – either all at once or individually.

Access Control and Reporting
Within the portal, a unique user account was created for each apartment owner or tenant, ensuring that users can only see their own meter readings. The community manager (SVJ administrator), on the other hand, has full access to view the overall consumption of the building.
A monthly electricity report is also automatically generated and sent to the administrator, highlighting the change in consumption by subtracting the previous value from the current reading.

The Result
Thanks to a single Perseus Energy 285 unit and the Sensdeks platform www.sensdesk.com , residents and administrators now benefit from:
Clear and secure consumption monitoring
Individual data access for each user
Automated monthly reports
Flexible user permission settings
This solution is ideal for property managers, housing associations, and developers who want full control over energy data without unnecessary complexity.
